Spanish Club will meet next Wednesday, 2/15.

**Baseball Open Gym TONIGHT 6-8 at Old Junior High. Saturday 8 a.m. at Junior High.

Unioto International Aid Club will meet after school in room 121 on TODAY to plan our fundraiser "Beanbags for Babies".

The Unioto Music Association will be selling wristbands at the lunch periods. They are purple or gold for $3 each. The quote on the band is: We are the U….U’s up!

Driver's Ed classes will start on Tuesday, February 21 and run through Friday, March 2 from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Cost is $370. You can pay $185 at the beginning of classes and $185 at the end. The orange sign up sheet is on the Guidance Office door.

Seniors: Make up day for Senior Composite is February 23 at 7:30-8:20.

The resource computer lab at the High School is now open to all high school students from 7:30AM - 8:00AM and again from 2:30 - 3:00 daily. It is for students working on specific assignments, research or to check progress book for grades and assignments. Approved printing is also allowable for school specific assignments as monitored by the attendant on duty. We hope this provides a much needed service for students without study halls and/or limited Internet and printing access at home.

Read More Books currently has items on display next to the Teacher’s Break Room and they are scheduled to deliver to our school on Tuesday, February 14th. If you would like to order any items, please fill in the order sheet and give your payment to Mrs. Wells before 2:45 p.m. on the 13th. On the 14th please give any money to Mrs. Winks in the office before 9:00 a.m. The Learning Center will benefit from this sales program by receiving books valued at 20% of our total sales.

Guidance News:

Students who have applied to Pickaway Ross will be interviewed this Thursday or Friday. These students have met the priority enrollment deadline and will meet with Christy Pritchard or Scott Snyder.

See Mrs. Ater for applications for the Ben Hartsock Scholarship, Mary Margaret Black Scholarship, and Scioto Lodge #6 Free and Accepted Masons of Chillicothe scholarship.

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GBLT) Alumni Society of The Ohio State University is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to a student who demonstrates involvement and dedication to the GLBT community. Additional scholarships exist for GLBT students who plan to study music, who have financial need, or who have worked in the HIV and AIDS community. Apply online at www.scarletandgay.com. Deadline is March 1, 2012.

JUNIORS - If you are interested in attending Boys State or Girls State, please see Miss Williams.

The Union-Scioto Education Association
scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office. Completed applications should be returned to Mrs. Ater no later than March 2, 2012. No applications will be accepted after 2:30 p.m. on that date.


Six scholarships are available in the Guidance Office:

1. Homeland Credit Union Scholarship (you or parent must be a member)
2. Chivaho Credit Union Scholarship (you or parent must be a member)
3. Universal 1 Credit Union Scholarship (you or parent must be a member)
4. Shell Oil Engineering Scholarship (applies to specific schools)
5. Ross County Historical Society Scholarship
6. William D. Squires Scholarship


Applications for all scholarships are available in the Guidance Office. See Mrs. Ater if you have any questions.

Seniors - Check the lists posted by Mrs. Wettersten's, Mr. Paxton's, Mrs. Mauer's, Miss Williams' and the Guidance Office doors. Several seniors need to pick up P.E. waiver forms in the Guidance Office.

Seniors - Check in the Guidance Office for a Gates Foundation/Ross County Scholars Scholarship application. There are also applications for Chillicothe Evening Lions Scholarship.
